Feel the Dry
Best run of the training cycle so far. The goal was a MP run of 9 miles. I ended up with 9.5 at a 7:35 pace. The legs felt amazing - I even did a decent job on the last hill. Pacing: 7:35, 7:37, 7:45, 7:31, 7:27, 7:17, 7:12, 7:17, 8:08 and 8:21 (1/2-mile). Ideally, I would do a few of these on the way home - so as to cut-out the downhills - but that's pretty good. Definately better than this time last year. Injury wise - great - no toe nail or ankle issues. Knees felt good. Ran in the Hoka's - which seem to be making a come back as my possible marathon shoe. I've done about 17 miles in them this week. I'm probably at about 110-120 miles in them so far. If I can get a back-up shoe to absorb a good half the mileage - I may be able to ride them into the marathon.
